Army National Guard/MPSC
The Army National Guard is a part-time service that requires one
week-end a month and 15 days of Annual Training each year (39 days a
year). Serve in Rhode Island or neighboring States. Receive
a direct commission as a First Lieutenant. Also, the National
Guard provides Federal Loan Repayments up to $60,000 ($20,000 over
three years), $20,000 a year Special Bonus for most specialties, one
CME experience per year with pay and up to $2,500 expenses (upon
completion of Officer Basic Course), $400,000 life insurance, Tri-Care
Medical Coverage, Low Cost Life Insurance, PX and Commissary
Privileges. If you complete 20 years of service, you would be
eligible for a non-contributory retirement at age 60, the earliest that
